#93: Your Teenager Isn’t Lazy And That Lack of Motivation Isn’t What You Think (with Dr. Adam Price)
If you’ve ever had the thought, “Why can’t he/she just put forth the tiniest bit of effort in school?”, then today’s episode is for you. You are not the only one dealing with this – actually, quite far from it. And there’s a really good reason for this phenomenon, which usually occurs more with boys than girls. In this episode, I’m joined by Dr. Adam Price, clinical psychologist and author of the book, He’s Not Lazy: Empowering Your Son to Believe in Himself and it’s an eye-opening conversation to say the least. Dr. Price explains why boys (and plenty of girls) just “opt out” or stop trying in school. If you struggle with your teen to get them to do their homework, study for tests and make decent grades, you really must listen (you’ll come away with a solid plan for moving forward with your teen.)
